The hardware you need to run rumahl — and what we recommend for everyday use.

rumahl runs on ARM64 and x86_64 hardware — from the Raspberry Pi to a mini PC or NAS.
Minimum and recommendation
- Minimum: 2 CPU cores, 512 MB RAM (Raspberry Pi 4) or 900 MB (VM), 8 GB free disk, Debian 12+, Ubuntu 22.04+, macOS 13+ or Raspberry Pi OS
- Recommended: 4 cores, 2 GB+ RAM (8 GB+ for local ORA AI features), 20 GB+ SSD
Supported devices
- x86_64 with UEFI (Intel/AMD servers, NUCs, mini PCs)
- Raspberry Pi 4 (4 GB+ recommended), Rock Pi 4, Odroid N2+
- Generic ARM64 boards
For ORA with local AI models, more RAM means larger models run comfortably. 8 GB is the sweet spot here.
