Troubleshooting
Your device is unreachable
Network checks, IP issues and recovery — step by step to a solution.

The most common support issue: the dashboard is no longer reachable. It is usually the network, rarely the system. Go through the steps in order.
Check the basics
- 1Check the power supply and the status LED of the device — is it lit?
- 2Ping test from your PC: ping 192.168.1.50 (your device IP) — replies?
- 3No reply? Check whether the device got a new IP from the router (router UI → connected devices).
Dashboard and system
- 1Reachable, but no dashboard? Check the port: nc -zv 192.168.1.50 8126.
- 2System hung? Briefly disconnect power and restart — rumahl boots cleanly, data stays intact.
- 3Afterwards: open the dashboard and check the security monitor for anything unusual.
Avoiding the problem permanently
- DHCP reservation in the router: a fixed IP prevents the address changing after a reboot.
- Network monitoring: rumahl shows connected devices automatically in the dashboard.
- Note your device's MAC address — it helps when searching the router logs.
A DHCP reservation in the router (fixed IP) prevents the IP from changing after a reboot.
